Bruckner, Anton, Composer, 1824-1896. Autogr. letter with signature. Vienna, 21. VI. 1890. 2 pp. 8vo.
To an unknown man (Bayer?) about minor occurences in the monasteries St. Florian and in Bad Ischl. "Hr. - Bruckner was in the monastery St. Florian as a choir boy in 1837, where he worked as substitute teacher and organist from 1844 to 1895, and was also burried in 1896 under the church that was erected in 1780 and has the so-called Bruckner organ. - With small tears in the folding.
About events and news in St. Florian and Bad Ischl (organ concert for the marriage of the emperor's daughter Marie Valerie). Bruckner spent part of his life in the convent, first as choirboy, later as assistent teacher and organist, and after his death 1896 he was buried beneath the organ in the church. In Bad Ischl, where the imperial family spent each summer, Bruckner gave organ concerts on occasions as the emperor's birthday. - With small tears to folds.
