• This is one of the few sheets from the series "Abstrakten Formen" available on the auction market.
• Other motifs from this unique 1913 series are in the Städtische Galerie im Lenbachhaus, Munich and the Kunsthaus Zürich
• August Macke was one of the most important German Expressionists and part of the "Blauer Reiter".
