• Gonschior examines the nature and substance of color - physically, optically, conceptually, with his abstract paintings composed of dabs of color, which are considered his unmistakable "trademark".
• The artist stages the intrinsic value of the colors, which he relates to one another in subtle tensions.
• From the 1970s Gonschior was represented by Galerie m, Bochum, and his works were shown at documenta 6 in 1977.
