Inscribed "Ausflug mit Gertrud Groß Sedlitz 1906" on the reverse. On fine paper. 20.2 x 26.4 cm (7.9 x 10.3 in), size of sheet. [JS].
• Remarkable document of Bleyl's graphic gift during his short time with the "Brücke" (1905–1907).
• Romantic landscape scene made on a trip to the park of Palace Groß-Sedlitz together with Gertrud Tannert the year they got engaged.
• Bleyl's love for Gertrud and their marriage (1907) were reason enough for Bleyl to leave the "Brücke" as early as in 1907 and to work as an architect.
PROVENANCE: Gertrud Tannert (artist's wife, until 1974).
