Ludvig Peter Karsten was among the leading Norwegian artists of his days. Our fascinating expressive work is executed in a wide palette of colors and in an airy duct. Munch and Krohg are clearly detectable as Karsten's sources of influence, however he adds his personal style and invites us to observe the two women sitting at the table. [KP].
