This sheet was made during Ring's internemnet in the English POW camp Oswestry on the border to Wales. During these days teh artist experimented in various styles. Accordingly, the first abstract motifs were executed in a curved color composition, showing influences of Kandinsky and the Blauer Reiter. [CB].
