Signed and dated in the image's lower right. Titled in bottom center. On cardboard. 49 x 33.5 cm (19.2 x 13.1 in), size of sheet.

• From his last year at the Bauhaus before it had to close in 1933.
• Series of works of transition and the connection between Europe and America - conceived in Dessau and completed at Black Mountain College.
• His first consistently serial cycle.
• The treble clef as an isomorphic figure, in which the clearly delineated areas of color are interwoven.
• Family-owned since it was created and offered on the international auction market for the first time.

The work is registered in the archive of the Anni and Josef Albers Foundation, Connecticut, under "JAAF 1932.2.8" and will be included in the forthcoming catalogue raisonné.
