Together with his painter friend Hans von Schrötter, Putz spent the autumn of 1923 in the Bavarian town of Seefeld, where he made a number of paintings and studies showing the castle and park (cf. Putz 2421-2431). The owner, count Törring, invited the two artists to paint in his park. "It was marvellous to see how Putz - how can I say - swept through the landscape. We worked [..] all day until sunset." (Transl. quote after Hans von Schrötter, in: Ruth Stein, Leo Putz, Vienna 1974, p. 59). [DB]
