PROVENANCE: Elly Koehler (present from Dr. Hans Konrad Roethel, former director of Städtische Galerie im Lenbachhaus Munich and the Gabriele Münter- and Johannes Eichner-Foundation. Elly Koehler was the wife of Bernhard Koehler jun., son of the acclaimed clooector and patron Bernhard Koehler. In 1965 he donated a major share from the estate of the "Blauer Reiter" to the Lenbachhaus in Munich).
In family ownership until 2010.
