Bedeutende lateinische Euklid-Ausgabe von dem Jesuiten Clavius (1537-1612).
Zweite vermehrte und verbesserte Auflage der "bekannten und geschätzten Ausgabe des Clavius .. die mehrfach aufgelegt wird und in ihrer Wirkung außerordentlich bedeutsam ist" (Steck). Die Clavius-Ausgabe erschien erstmals 1574.
EINBAND: Pergamentbände d. 18. Jhs. mit handschriftlichem Rückentitel. 8vo. 16,5 : 11 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Mit 2 gestochenen Titeln und zahlr. geometrischen Figuren im Text. - KOLLATION: 8 Bll., 918 S., 1 Bl.; 959 S., 48 Bll. - ZUSTAND: Vereinz. leicht fleckig, beide Titelkupfer angerändert, 1 flieg. Vorsatz mit kl. Randausschnitt. Insgesamt in guter Erhaltung. - PROVENIENZ: Seit über 50 Jahren in Berliner Privatbesitz.
