In his works on paper, the "chromatic color pictures", Mack began to decode the spectral colors of light. The color chromatics are particularly captivating for their luminous intensity and apparent color purity. In every image the artist strikes color shades that he differentiates through mixture ratios. The color range seems rich and unique, however, the impression of a lucent and pure color intensity remains.
