Sarkowski 1983. - Söhn, HDO 314. - 1 of 40 numb. copies of the de luxe edition (on larger paper) of the Insel-Mappenwerk which was published in 4 issues between December 1899 and November 1900. - Here existing the woodcuts by A. Albers, W. Nicholson, E. R. Weiß (2, 1 signed), W. Laage (2; Hagenlocher 21 and 38), lithographs by A. Rodin, M. A. Stremel, P. Baum, F. Brangwyn, and etchings by M. Liebermann (Schiefler 50 IIIb), Ybels, H. Thoma (Beringer 10/2) and E. Delâtre. - Printed on varying papers, size of plate ca. 41,5 : 33,5 cm, numbered lower left (mostly in ink, 4 plates with printed no. 33), verso with the Insel stamp. Title page of the copy on Insel laid paper (with plate index on the reverse). The lithograph by Stremel in smaller size, but with numbering of the de luxe edition; 3 print (by Liebermann, Thoma and Weiß) without the Insel stamp on the reverse, the woodcut Bäuerin by E. R. Weiß signed lower right. - Mostly with creases and small marginal damages, margin partly dirtstained and with foxing.
