Léon Richet was student of, among others, Dìaz de la Peña, who familiarized him with the painting of the School of Barbizon. Richet's paintings often show atmospheric landscapes with a deep horizon. He puts a particular emphasis on the detailed depiction of light at different times of the day and different weather conditions. [CB].
